ABOUT US
Meet Meghan
Meghan has spent the last 25 years developing and honing her skills as a horsewoman. She grew up in Maine on the original Ledgewood Farm. There her family bred and raised Appaloosas and showed all over the East Coast on the show circuit. After her mother passed away and the barn was sold, she knew that horses would be in her blood forever.

Learning on the young, off track Thoroughbreds and the difficult horses, she trained in Eventing and Dressage and had an up and coming Prelim horse. When she tragically lost her, she set her sights on the Hunter/Jumper world and was the captain of her college team and helped lead the team to Zone Reserve Champions and was a leading Cacchione Cup rider. Meghan earned her Bachelor's Degree in Equine Business Management and went on to manage top barns in the area. She spent many years working at an elite equine rehabilitation facility for sport horses and learned a an incredible wealth of knowledge on quality care. She eventually moved on to groom and ride for a few Grand Prix riders and spent many winters in Ocala and at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL and traveled up and down the East Coast to prestigious shows. She also continued to train young Thoroughbreds and was able to show them and qualify for Medal Finals as well as ending up as Reserve Champion at HITS Ocala.

Meghan was given a wonderful opportunity to become a Sergeant and the Mounted Unit Supervisor for the City of Boston Park Rangers and jumped at the chance. She played an integral role in the training and development of the department's patrol horses and Rangers over the years. Unfortunately, a career ending injury forced Meghan to give up her love of public safety and now works for SmartPak as a Marketing Coordinator in eCommerce.

Meghan is currently developing her young Thoroughbred mare Raven and plans to show her locally when she's ready. Raven is currently showing a lot of potential in the hunter ring, and she hopes to also try her hand at Eventing, Meghan's first love!
